We are aware of ongoing problems with our phone system, especially at busy times. We are working with the phone contract providers to see what can improve this. Where possible if it is not an urgent problem if you can phone after 10am, use online access or our email firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are phoning to chase up results or anything to do with hospital appointments we often do not have the information either and if you could contact the patient liaison service at the relevant hospital.

What happens when you are referred by your GP to see a specialist?
The way you are ordering repeat medication has changed. If you have already registered for Patient Access click here to order your medication. Allow 48 hours to be processed by the practice.
If you have not yet registered for Patient Access to order your repeat prescription, please do so by clicking here. The old method of requesting prescriptions is no longer available. Once you have registered, you will be asked to present photo ID at the surgery to activate your account. If you have registered successfully and have your log in numbers, please click on the Patient Access box for your next order. Many thanks for your continued co-operation.
We are aware that the Patient Access system will not allow patients to request medication which is NOT on their repeat medication list. If you experience this problem, please send your request in an email to email@example.com We are not able for safety reasons to accept medication requests over the phone.
Changes to the way you order repeat medication:
Many patients have a ‘repeat prescription’ meaning that they can regularly receive certain medication without having to see their doctor each time. Some people order these repeat prescriptions themselves. Others choose to use a pharmacy or dispensing company to order medicines on their behalf. Depending on how you request your medicines, the way that it works for you may change from 1 August 2018.
You can find further information in a letter below.
Buckinghamshire CCG Patient Letter - Ordering Your Prescription Through a Pharmacy
Patients may request a repeat prescription by following the Patient Access link on this page to the online form and carrying out the quick, simple, one-time registration process, or by leaving a written prescription request form at the reception desk, or by fax or letter, or email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please remember, medications that are taken long term will need monitoring by your GP and Practice Nurse, either by appointment and /or blood test depending on the medication, at least annually, to make sure the medicine is still the best treatment for you.
Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)
Electronic Prescription Service is now available at The Hall Practice
EPS enables prescribers - such as GPs and practice nurses - to send prescriptions electronically to a dispenser (such as a pharmacy) of the patient's choice. This makes the prescribing and dispensing process more efficient and convenient for patients and staff.
Please contact your preferred pharmacy if you would like to use the service.
For more information on the new system, go to www.connectingforhealth.nhs.uk/eps
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
